Ladies, it’s time to shop, sip, and stroll the streets of Downtown Petoskey for our annual Ladies Opening Night. Instead of hunting for bucks, let’s spend some “bucks” to kick off the holiday season. Scope out gifts for yourself and your loved ones while playing games, winning prizes, and snacking your way through Downtown Petoskey.

• Shop from 4 pm-8 pm
• Participating stores will offer gifts, games, prizes, and nibbles.
• Enter to win the Doe Prize Contest; no purchase is necessary. Containers with entry slips will be available at participating retailers. Winners will be randomly selected and notified on 11/21/23.
• One 1st Place Doe Prize will be $1,000 in Downtown Dollars
• Three 2nd Place Doe Prizes of $500 Downtown Dollars each will also be awarded

Held the first Friday in December, December 1, from 6 to 9 pm, the Holiday Open House begins with an appearance by Santa Claus, who flies into town to light the giant Christmas tree in Pennsylvania Park and greet children on the streets with a wave and wink! The tree lighting begins ceremony begins promptly at 6. New this year is the Downtown Social District – carry your adult beverage with you when you walk from store to store. This is the night when the streets close, and the merchants open their doors to offer warm holiday greetings and hospitality. The Petoskey High School Steel Drum Band will be here for its annual appearance. Windows are decorated in holiday style, and the streets are alive with a seasonal glow. Come Downtown and enjoy the smiling faces and seasonal fun with your family this evening.

Winter Wonderland Weekend will feature ice carving demonstrations, Downtown shopping and restaurant specials, a scavenger hunt through the Downtown shops, and a Downtown Dollars shopping contest, all held within the boundaries of the Downtown Petoskey Social District.
