A Garden-Inspired Luncheon in Northern Michigan: Women Can Women Do

There is something special about gathering around a beautifully designed table. It creates an atmosphere for conversation, connection, and celebration—and that was exactly the feeling we wanted to create for the Women Can Women Do Luncheon, benefiting the Women’s Resource Center of Northern Michigan.

For this special Northern Michigan event, Monarch Garden & Floral Design created a garden-inspired tablescape designed to bring the beauty of the garden indoors.

A Table Inspired by the Garden

Our inspiration began with the feeling of a beautiful garden luncheon—natural, welcoming, elegant, and full of seasonal character.

We layered the table with beautiful linens, chargers, floral arrangements, and carefully selected décor to create a setting that felt both polished and inviting. Rather than treating each element separately, we designed the table as a complete experience, allowing the linens, florals, place settings, and décor to work together.

The result was a table that felt like an extension of the garden—lush, natural, and welcoming.

The Details Make the Table

At Monarch, we believe a memorable event is often found in the details.

Linens help establish the foundation of a tablescape, while chargers and place settings add structure and dimension. Flowers bring the color, movement, and seasonal personality. Decorative elements add those finishing touches that make a table feel intentional rather than simply decorated.

For the Women Can Women Do Luncheon, we brought all of these elements together to create a cohesive garden-inspired setting for guests to enjoy throughout the afternoon.

Celebrating Women and Community

Beyond the flowers and tablescape, the luncheon was an opportunity to celebrate women and support the important work of the Women’s Resource Center of Northern Michigan.
